Described by many as the best medical practice they have ever seen, Reliance Medical Practice-Wyong officially opened its doors to the Wyong community at a morning tea launch event on May 9th. The morning tea event held at the beautiful new practice attracted quite a crowd including Councillor Greg Best, Local MP Member, David Harris along with a number of local businesses, health professionals, patients and media.

Councillor Greg Best had the honour of officially opening the medical practice, stating that it was ‘a cutting edge and state of the art medical practice’’. Medical Director and owner of Reliance, Dr Rodney Beckwith was thrilled to highlight during his speech that ‘this is the best medical practice I have ever seen. Beckwith also told guests that they were ‘’standing in one of the most sophisticated medical networks in Australia. Unlike the isolated cottages of old, GP’s nowadays can work in beautiful, professional places alongside other colleagues, using an extensive array of equipment, with related services on hand, linked in real time with other medical practices in the group and collectively providing comprehensive primary health care.’

Beckwith then went on to state that ‘this centre is the product of much science, engineering, and technology. It is informed by many years of professional experience in business and medicine. It is deeply rooted in our local health care system.  And most of all it is a product of our passion to serve’.

The new practice definitely has a wow factor, having engaged the skills of a talented interior designer, Martha Karas-Wright from Karas Design, the interior of the practice is truly stunning. Reliance have cleverly incorporated local artist feature pieces including a series or remarkable light fixtures to showcase the expansive ceiling. ‘You feel more like you are walking into a luxury hotel or day spa than a practice’ said one of the delighted guests at the launch event.

Reliance Medical Practice CEO, Julie Abdilla stated during her speech that ‘ Reliance for the past 3 years has continued to  not only offer a service above services, but has purposefully undertaken a commitment, using professional engagements to continue its development in refining a more personal, professional and technologically advanced Medical Practice’. Abdilla says ‘we are serious about being the best at what we do and we will never lose sight of challenging ourselves and providing the Central Coast with the best Primary Healthcare Service’.

Conveniently located next door to the North Wyong Chemist Outlet and opposite the Wyong Golf Club at Unit 9c 1-10 Amy Close, Wyong, the bulk billing medical practice will offer local patients general practice services, pathology, flu vac clinic, skin cancer clinic and a unique sleep study clinic with home testing. The Reliance Sleep Study Clinic is a first in the coast to incorporate the convenience of home testing with the highly qualified combined consultation skills of our GPs and oral sleep medicine expert, Dr Mark Levi. With over 1.2 million Australians experiencing sleep disorders, Reliance is delighted to be able to offer this unique service to its’ patients.

Reliance invites the local community to come and experience the new medical practice for themselves and welcomes new patients. Call 02 43 04 1333 to book your appointment.
